The Ontario East Wood Centre & Eco-Industrial Park is an environmentally attuned complex designed for research, development and demonstration (RD&D), and for the manufacture of value-added wood products destined for domestic and international markets.

What does the Township's Official Plan say about the land?
The Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Official Plan was enacted under Bylaw 2003-33 in 2003. Much of the Subject Area and surroundings is designated an Economic Enterprise Policy Area. The Council intended that the Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Industrial Park and the Port of Prescott would be developed together, the land serving highway commercial, intensive commercial, tourism commercial, technology employment and industrial uses.
Can I choose how closely I will cooperate with the other participants?
Of course. The Ontario East Wood Centre & Eco-Industrial Park will offer abundant, economically attractive opportunities to develop and share resources, but does not require this of participants.

For example, Prescott Machine and Welding has a long history of service to ocean-going ships as well as lakers and will take on jobs no matter how big or small.
